Integrations
ERP and MES stay in charge. LMS prints what they release.
Buyers usually ask two questions: will it talk to our ERP, and will it talk to the printers already bolted to the line. That is the integration job.
Systems of record
Works alongside the ERP and MES systems you already run.
LMS consumes the fields the label needs — SKU, lot, quantity, customer, destination, and the compliance marks on the template. Your ERP and MES remain the system of record. We do not replace them or invent a parallel item master.

How the connection usually looks
A narrow, durable interface — not a second warehouse system
1. Identify the event
Production confirmation, pack, ship, or a custom plant status that means “this thing now needs a label.”
2. Map the fields
Item, description, lot/serial, quantity, customer, destination, and any compliance marks the template requires.
3. Route the job
Send to the printer for that line or dock. Failures surface to ops and IT instead of disappearing into a local queue.
Some plants also expose machine state over industrial protocols such as OPC UA. When that is already in the architecture, LMS can use it for printer and line context — we do not invent a second control layer.
Devices
Common industrial printers (thermal and CIJ)
Thermal case and pallet labels are the common path. Continuous inkjet is in scope when the plant codes product or packaging at line speed and still wants status, recovery, and ERP-tied content.

Agent access to labeling ops (MCP)
LMS exposes a read-only MCP so your support or ops agents can monitor what’s printing, pull history, diagnose issues, and see labeling throughput — printing vs idle time and cases-per-hour style signals — without walking the floor. Your ERP and MES stay the system of record.
Ask us about wiring MCP for your IT environment.
Bring your ERP name and a sample label.
Bring a work order, a label that fails, and the printers you already have. We will map where LMS sits between ERP/MES and the job.
